RECOVERY OF AMERICA AND INDIAN CURRENCY FALL—
American turnaround was expected, but that will mean the collapse of many nations, was not anticipated. Currencies around the world are reeling under pressure and timely measures alone may not help. In the 80’s Japan was touted to take over The United States. Now its still in the same place or even worse, with reeling banks.
Then china and India were not even on the scene, and with their population and poverty issues, were considered third world. Today, these two countries are placed as the future super powers. Both have in them, decades of hardwork and systematic growth.
WHY ITS POSSIBLE?
1.BOTH ARE PEOPLES ECONOMY.
2.BOTH ARE CAPABLE OF MANUFACTURING AND MASS PRODUCTION.
3.BOTH COUNTRIES ARE CREATING A STRONG BASE OF TECHNOLOGICAL ECONOMY.
China leads in cheap manufacture of consumer goods and is a leading supplier to many countries all over the world. On the other hand, India, has the strongest base of KNOWLEDGE DRIVEN ECONOMY. It can be a world leader, provided, it tackles in time, the INFLATION, FALLING RUPEE, AND GOLD IMPORTS.
There is a strong cry, to cut down or even ban GOLD imports. That sales tax on gold should be relaxed, which will allow people to sell gold. I cant understand this theory, because then too much in the open market may reduce demand, and Gold will lose its shine as an investment. Instead of curbing demand for anything, its wiser to increase the supply of goods and bring down, prices, and inflation.
America’s turnaround, is no surprise as it had it and lost it, so its just taking hold of what was originally its own. PREZ.OBAMA, will be a happy man when he leaves office, as he was given a wounded tiger to ride, and he has come up triumphs, and served two terms at that.
India can become a superpower only if —
1.GOVERNMENT POLICIES ARE MADE ON TIME, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE NATION, AND NOT FOR A SELECT FEW.
2. CORPORATE PARTICIPATION IS VERY IMPORTANT.
3.INCREASE SKILLED LABOUR, AND INCREASE PRODUCTION BY THE MASSES, THUS GIVING EMPLOYMENT TO MASSES.
4. RURAL SECTORS MUST BE DEVELOPED.
5.INDIA IF IT HAS TO BE AHEAD AND HOLD ITS PLACE MUST ENCOURAGE ITS COTTAGE INDUSTRIES, AND COTTON POWER, AND COMPETE WITH THE WORLD BRANDS, OR LOSE ITS, ETHNIC CRAFTS TO FDI’S.
6. BRINGING MORE TWINNING PROGRAMMES OF LEADING UNIVERSITIES, PRECIOUS FOREIGN EXCHANGE CAN BE SAVED.
7. BETTER STILL GOOD UNIVERSITIES OF GLOBAL CLASS MUST BE CREATED.
8.INFRASTRUCTURE AND RURAL GROWTH IS IMPORTANT FOR ENTIRE FOUNDATION.
9. EDUCATION AND HEALTH SECTORS ALONE WILL TAKE ANY COUNTRY FORWARD ON WORLD ARENA.
Lets wait and see in the coming months, how the economy turns around. strong fiscal measures are required, and long term plans have to be implemented to give scope and hope for today’s youngsters, or we may soon see, the same unemployment trend of the 80’s.
EARN IN DOLLARS AND SPEND IN RUPEE—–THAT IS THE MANTRA FOR NOW!!!!.
