STREET FOOD–must try–METROS.

Every country and culture has street food of some kind. The best way to enjoy street food is to just walk around,see how the locals eat it and DIY. Most street foods are pretty safe. Advanced nations have, quality and hygiene standards. Talk around to find out more, and read up and check it out.

1.India’s capital perhaps is known the world over for the most exotic hotel,restaurants,cafes and street food.

DELHI– must try the tandoor rotis and kebabs. Old and New Delhi has its own, lists of good foods. Fruits and fruit based

foods are good during winters,and summers normally provide lime juice and cucumber.

 

2. Mumbai– is the soul of India. people travel as far as pune to come and work in Mumbai. There is hardly anytime for many millions who live and work  in Mumbai. The day for most begins with a vada pav, and through the day, there are plenty of FAST STREET FOODS, known as CHAATS. Thursdays are main fasting days, and the entire city, takes food meant for fast. SAGO-KITCHDI. The CHAPATHI ROLL known as FRANKIE–is a semi healthy fast food.

3.CALCUTTA–The city is so vast, and the landscape to a new visitor, will look like a movie set, only that we can get to see a Mira nair, jurassic park, National Geo all on the road. Poverty and population hit you on your face. There is very little time to, take in the traffic, people,honking cars, old outdated ambassador yellow taxi’s, and the ancient screeching trams. A typical day in Calcutta begins with JALEBI’S–SWEET DISH, SAMOSAS–SAVOURY,AND TEA. Apart from this they also have street foods through the city, and their CHAATS and MOMOS–BOTH VEG AND NON-VEG ARE PRETTY FAMOUS. The Tibetan lane and China Town have authentic chinese food. The world famous RASAGOLLAS— are delicious. Their MISTI DOI, is a sweet curd, which goes for all occasions.

4.CHENNAI–Chennai is now just developing as a modern street food city in the sense, people of the city the originals, never ate out as a habit in most other places. Now with increasing working women and more money flow, they are branching into this. The CHICKPEA SUNDAL–AND THE RAW MANGO–on The Beach, are the only typical food if I can say so. The ones that are available now are brought in from other cities and states and not THE FOOD OF THE LAND.

HANDSFREE HOLIDAY

YOU ALL MIGHT WONDER WHAT IT MEANS? ON MY RECENT TRIP TO KUALA LUMPUR I STAYED WITH AN OLD COUPLE WHO WERE LIKE PARENTS DURING OUR DECADE LONG STAY THERE. NATURALLY OLD AGE DOESNOT REQUIRE ONE TO HAVE, SMART PHONES OR INTERNET. I SWITCHED OFF MY BLACKBERRY, AND MY TAB, WAS USED MORE TO TAKE PHOTOS. 

I NEVER CHECKED MY MAILS AND WENT OFF TWITTER AND TUMBLER AND MY BLOG BABY. SELF ENQUIRY IF I MISSED ANY OF IT? ACTUALLY IN OFFICIAL TERMS YES. PERSONALLY NO. I COOKED FOR THEM, HELPED CLEAN AND CHATTED. I LOOK AROUND AND FIND, OLD PEOPLE ARE NOT WANTED IN MAIN STREAM CIRCLES.

RELATIONSHIPS TODAY IS ALL ABOUT USEFULNESS. FEEL SAD, BUT CHANGE IS THE COLOUR OF LIFE. LAST YEAR I MISSED MEETING ONE OF THE MOST WONDERFUL HUMAN BEINGS, WHOM I FONDLY REFERRERD TO AS “APPA”–AND HE PASSED AWAY EARLY THIS YEAR, AFTER CREATING A WHOLESOME BEAUTIFUL FAMILY UNDER HIMSELF. HIS MARRIAGE LASTED 67 YEARS, MANY TIMES THE AVERAGE LIFE SPAN OF A HUMAN.

COMING BACK TO LEAKING KITCHENS AND PIPE BURST, I KIND OF FEEL WOKEN UP FROM DEEP SLUMBER. WASTED NO TIME IN CHARGING MY PHONES AND LAPTOP, AND PROMPTLY GOT MYSELF GLUED ON TO TWITTER,BLOG AND TUMBLER. 

DOES IT MEAN I CAN LIVE WITHOUT SOCIAL MEDIA, AND INTERNET? OR JUST THAT A SHORT SEPARATION ENHANCES MY LOVE FOR THESE? WHICH EVER WAY I LOOK AT? I UNDERSTOOD PEOPLE THERE STILL HAVE TIME FOR FAMILY, FRIENDS, KIDS AND PETS.

MOST MEMORABLE HOLIDAY, KUALA LUMPUR FOR ME IS ALWAYS FROZEN IN TIME. EVERYTHING JUST LOOKS THE SAME. AND THIS MOMEMT SHAKES ME BACK TO REALITY, THAT I NEED THE INTERNET, SOCIAL MEDIA AND BLOG–TO EXPRESS MY LOVE FOR ANOTHER LAND AND THAT I NEED THE SAME PLATFORM, I HOLIDAYED WITHOUT, TO EXPRESS MY LOVE FOR IT AND THE LAND I VISITED.

IF THERE IS ONE INGREDIENT WHICH IS SO VERSATILE THAT IT CAN FIND A PLACE IN THE KITCHEN, BATHROOM, TO CLEANING  WINDOW PANES, RINSING HAIR AFTER SHAMPOO, AND AS PRESERVATIVE.

writing… A BLOG

I wonder if we sometimes write for the sake of writing. Blogs have connected and brought the world closer. So much so we can peek into the mind of so many we wouldn’t have otherwise met. Its a constant way of trying to discover oneself, so many subjects to choose from, and we understand more as we blog. We do write for ourselves, but without readers, we are nothing. to make your blog more appealing, and interesting, as I am in similar search…

  1.  choose life enhancement topics.
  2. health is sure winner.
  3. travel has takers all the year.
  4. pets are interesting as well.
  5. kids and family.

No need for detailed writing. outline of the topic gets the same value. Blog is not a novel. Its like a menu card, with little more add on. Routine topics may get boring. Treks and hikes, wildlife, are some interesting areas to explore. 

Blogging like life is a journey which gets discovered along the way. HAPPY BLOGGING.

when to LET-GO

Letting is an art, and the most difficult decision of all. More than when, its WHY TO LET-GO? We hold on to situations and people,which have created the worst possible feelings and situations in us, or for us. It bruises and harms our soul, and stops our growth. By constant brooding and getting angry, we only cause further harm. Its not that we can’t LET GO, Its just that we dont want to. We hold on for all wrong reasons.

If someone has hurt, a friend has gossiped, spouse has cheated on you, a relative who condemns, the feeling it invokes is negative, and leaves you drained,hurt,bitter. Longer you stay in the same atmosphere, more harm comes to you. Remember you are holding on to the situation,and the situation is not holding on to you. Not wanting to LET GO is not your affection or love for the person,who is causing the negativity in you,but your own EGO.

You are angry,about their treatment of you, and by staying on, you want that revenge, which does no good. The exit is more important than anything else. If there is any self respect left in you, you will make the choice to leave and go away. Plan your exit, and remember you owe yourself, the dignity and respect and stop waiting for it to come from somewhere. Take it in your hands and lead yourself towards, sanity. Always always remember YOU ARE ANSWERABLE TO YOU AND GOD ALONE. If love for you is there, take the decision and make the choice and leave before you are unwanted.

EXIT IS VERY IMPORTANT, FROM A RELATIONSHIP OR THIS WORLD.

ART OF BEING CREATIVE

Creativity is not born from the cosmos. It a way of thinking. While some are born with it, with constant practice, it can be developed over a period of time. Its not thinking differently. Its a lateral way of thinking. How to do? a certain thing or a job, in many ways. For it one should outline the outcome of a particular thing, or event and develop it and draw frills and make-up to make it look, beyond one’s ordinary imagination. Creative people are not necessarily harvard grads, infact most creative people may be drop-outs from there.

Creativity stems from an inner desire to invent, to form an idea or opinion, and only someone who can visualise the final outcome from the start can be  creative. Everyone draws, but everyone is not a piccasso. people can sing a song, but no one becomes a MJ. There is a sort of inner craving to create magic. To invent,improvise, and decorate an ordinary thing to become a thing of art. Ikebana, the japanese art of arranging flowers, is not about exotic flowers, but the art of arranging itself. The meditative effect that goes along with it.

SKY IS THE LIMIT FOR CREATIVITY. WHETHER IT IS PHOTOGRAPHY, ART,PAINTING,COOKING, EVEN SEX–CAN BE CREATIVE IF THE WILLINGNESS,COMES FROM WITHIN. GO FOR IT.

GOLDFISHES

I grew up with dogs and knowledge grew with every breed that came home. Each had their pros and cons, and learning for me was practical way of life, about dogs. I grew up with German shepherd ,labs, dashund, lhasa apso, to Golden retriever. Bitches were more stronger than dogs,if it came to pedigrees, according to my opinion. And better the breed more the worry. Lhasa apso was so fragile and gentle, he was more precious to my mother than me or my sister. From de-worming to asthma to arthritis , and parvo virus, I had hands on experience with dogs, and can be a certified Dog whisperer .

Moving into an apartment meant, no Dogs, not because we had no space,but I am against the idea of confining dogs to constricted spaces.So to have a living being apart from us, I chose to bring home, Goldfish. I bought two of them, and after a few weeks, One morning I get to see the tail of the smaller fish, missing—. I was zapped. little knowledge on fishes made me believe , it may have been ill. Two days later it died.Now I am a student trying to learn as much as possible on Gold fishes.

When we understand our pets,we are better equiped to handle and enjoy their company. 

TO CARE FOR YOUR GOLD FISHES- – – 

 

  1. KEEP THEM IN A TANK AND NOT IN A FISH BOWL.
  2. DONT FEED THEM WITH JUST FISH FOOD-LIKE FLAKES.
  3. GIVE THEM FINELY CHOPPED FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, TO INCREASE FIBRE.
  4. WATER SHOULD BE WARM AND NOT VERY COLD,AS THE FISHES’S ORGANS DON’T WORK WELL UNDER COLD WATER.
  5. THEY EAT AND FEED ON ANYTHING. ONLY REMEMBER NOT TO OVERFEED THEM.
  6. GOLD FISH ARE BEAUTIFUL AND ORNAMENTAL, SO TAKE CARE.
  7. THEIR LIFE EXPECTANCY CAN BE UPTO 10 YEARS OR MORE.
  8. CARE AND NUTRITION ARE IMPORTANT.
  9. THEY NEED AS MUCH LOVE AND ATTENTION AS DOGS. THEY DO REGOGNISE US.

   10.  THEY COMPETE FOR FOOD, SO TAKE CARE TO FEED THE SLOWER ONES CAREFULLY.

 

Far too many people under the misconception that fish bowls were made for goldfish, after watching a few movies. there is no proper waste disposal, and enough oxygen.
